of our Basic classes, all of our weekly Yoga classes for the
current quarter, a description of our class levels, and our
fee schedule. As

- ---- ------------------------------------------ ---- - Chanting with Kabir :
Come enjoy an evening of devotional chanting! Kabir is at the center the 2nd Saturday of every month, at 7:30 pm. $12 donation.
- ---- ------------------------------------------ ---- - Basics :
For those new to
Iyengar Yoga. Pre-register for a new four class series beginning
each calendar month (you may register on our Beginners page).
We recommend students complete a Basics series or a Basics workshop
to begin Level 1 classes. Basics classes do not meet during
the fifth week of the month.
Level 1 :
For continuing beginning students. Provides the foundation for
the study of Iyengar Yoga.
Level 2 :
Deeper and expanded study of the foundation with increased study
of inversions and backward extensions.
Level 3 :
For students developing a home practice from a solid working
knowledge of the postures. Proficiency with inversions required.
Advanced poses introduced to complement a firm foundation.
All Levels :
Classes offering something to all.
Restorative: A less active class for students interested in
relieving stress.
Specialty Classes :
We have seniors classes, pre and post natal yoga classes, a women’s class, and a therapeutics class for those who must work carefully due to injury. We also provide Restoratives classes, free classes through the Yoga Group for people living with HIV, and free classes for those who are living with or are survivors of cancer.
Private Classes :
For special one-on-one instruction.

Clothes you can easily move in. We suggest long or short footless
tights for women, bike shorts or Yoga shorts for men, and a
T-shirt or tank top. Please do not wear fragrances.
- ---- ------------------------------------------ ---- - Allow
at least two hours after a full meal before coming to Yoga class
(a light snack within two hours of class is OK). You do not
need to register for any of these classes, except the Basics
classes (register for those on the Beginners page). Our studios
are fully equipped with yoga props, but you may bring your own
props if you prefer.

Our basics classes are a straight-forward introduction to hatha yoga in the Iyengar method. The course is one month long, and begins the 1st of every calendar month. We offer five classes each week that you can choose from. Once you choose the class day and time that works for you that month, call us or email us to register for the class. The class meets once a week for four weeks.
During this four week series, you
will learn some Iyengar Yoga philosophy plus elementary poses
and principles of alignment and balance allowing you to then
join in with any of our Level 1 classes.
